Your Board of Directors invites you to attend the Annual Membership Meeting of the Figure Eight Island Yacht Club, Inc. The meeting will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Yacht Club. There will be a complimentary light breakfast available for members prior to the meeting at 8:00 AM.

From 5:30 - 6 PM, You’ll have the chance to meet a very special guest — a miniature horse brought by Kim Niggel of the Coastal Therapeutic Riding Program, a wonderful Wilmington nonprofit that uses equine therapy to transform the lives of children and adults with special needs. They are this year’s raffle beneficiary, and your support makes a real difference.

Father's Day Fishing Rodeo!

Sunday, June 21st | 11 AM - 1 PM

Bring your fishing rod and dad and let the competition begin! We will supply the bait and weigh the fish as they come in. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish and most fish caught. Reservations are requested for this complimentary event.

While you’re there, take time to meet & greet this year’s camp counselors!

Sizzling Summer Art Workshop

Kathy O'Brien and the artists featured in the O'Brien Gallery in Greensboro, NC, have been teaching (and having fun with) our members for over 10 years and are back to do it again!

The class is $175++ per person and includes the class, lunch and all supplies for your finished masterpiece! Call the club at 910.686.0631 to register.

Bridge

Duplicate Bridge

Duplicate Bridge games begin on Monday, May 25th at 1:00 pm and will run through September 7th. These games will run every Monday and Thursday from 1-4 pm.

Duplicate games are sanctioned by the ACBL and will award master points to those who place in the top half of their field.

A "Call for Players" email will be sent weekly. If you need a partner, contact Beth and she'll find one for you.

$5 per player, refreshments will be served.

Social Bridge

The weekly Social Bridge begins on Wednesday, May 27th and will run through September 2nd. This game runs every Wednesday at 1 PM. You do not need a partner to participate.

The group was formed to provide a bridge opportunity for players of all levels to meet new and old friends, play fun bridge and learn from each other. We do talk across the table and sometimes will even ask someone at an adjoining table for help with a bid. This is a great opportunity to meet players from all levels to give you the confidence to move into the duplicate game if desired.
